《號外》將於2008年推出迷你便版，嘗試以新尺寸
延伸文字、視覺內容的互動空間，擴闊《號外》於城
市生活不同環節的接觸面，見證生活無處不在。

影像概念化
影像一直是《號外》最叫人印象深刻的專案，概念先
行的出色美術指導，將攝影師的個人風格融合在文
字世界裏。不論是封面人物訪問，抑或是時裝專題，
還是配合文學專題的影像圖輯，都是最能表達《號外》
風格的欄目。
視野國際化
從LOCAL到GLOBAL而GLOCAL，作為香港城市雜志
，《號外》不停留在吃喝玩樂的消費層面上，更是
作為通往國際的一道視窗，觀察城市變化和生活趨勢
潮流─走出去，看回來；擴闊視野，放眼國際。
文學時尚化
書中書《City Book Review》全面抱擁文學文化創
作，從藝術角度出發，在愈來愈狹隘的文化空間裏
開一片樂土。《City Book Review》配合《號外》
風格，以時尚表現手法呈現文學，令文化不再艱澀難
懂，誘發讀者的知性意趣， 與雜其他環節的生活
潮流資訊相呼應。
設計素讀化
版面設計貫徹“素讀主義”─乾、簡約，摒色
彩紛陳雜亂無章的設計，去蕪存菁，轉而突顯每一
張圖片的細節、每一段文字的意義、每一個特輯的主
題，專注於內容的文化、藝術意義，為雜引入書本
的意境和深度。

CITY MAGAZINE will launch a travel-size edition
in 2008 as an innovative attempt to further explore
editorial and visual possibilities and to extend its
reach to different aspects of the city.

CONCEPTUAL VISUALS
Visuals have always been the most striking element
of CITY MAGAZINE. Guided by ingenious creative
concepts, the visuals reflect the individual flair of
the photographer and are expressed through the
fascinating world of words — be it a personality
interview, a fashion special, or a photo editorial on
literature.
GLOBAL VISION
From Local to Global and further to Glocal, as a
city magazine of Hong Kong, CITY MAGAZINE
breaks out from the consumer’s confinements of
dining and entertainment. It creates a window to the
world - looking out from the city’s own evolution and
lifestyle trends, and then looking back. The vision is
enhanced through an international perspective.
LITERATURE IN STYLE
City Book Review embraces literature and cultural
creativity – creating an oasis in a shrinking cultural
space from an artistic perspective. City Book Review
complements the style of CITY MAGAZINE to
present culture from a contemporary angle. Culture
is no longer alienating, but endearing to cultivate
the urge to know of the readers. This segment fully
echoes other lifestyle elements of the magazine.
SIMPLISTIC DESIGN
Graphic design is simplistic – neat, minimalistic
without the trappings of colorful clutters – to highlight
the details of each photograph, the meanings of
each paragraph and the theme of each special.
Content and art are the focus to bring meanings and
depth to the magazine.
